Regular cleaning keeps your Core One sounding its best and helps extend its life.
What you will need
Use the cleaning kit included with your Core One. It contains a brush and a wiper tool.
Cleaning steps
- Wipe the outer surface of each hearing aid with a soft, dry cloth or the cleaning cloth included in your kit.
- Use the brush end of the cleaning tool to gently remove earwax and debris from the microphone port and sound outlet. Brush gently — do not push debris further into the device.
- Use the wiper end of the cleaning tool to peel away any wax from the ear tip.
- If the ear tip is heavily soiled, remove it from the hearing aid and wipe it clean with a dry cloth. Do not rinse the ear tip or hearing aid under water, as moisture can damage the device.
- Wipe the charging contacts on both the hearing aids and the charging case regularly to ensure reliable charging.
- Replace the ear tips every 3–6 months, or sooner if they become stiff, brittle, or discolored.
What to avoid
- Do not use water, solvents, or cleaning fluids on the hearing aids or charging case.
- Do not use sharp objects to remove earwax from the device.
- Do not use an electronic dryer to dry rechargeable hearing aids.
- Keep the hearing aids away from humid environments and high temperatures.
