Whistling, also called feedback, is usually caused by sound leaking out and being picked up again by the hearing aid.

Try these steps

  1. Reinsert the hearing aid so it sits more securely in your ear.
  2. Try a larger eartip if the current one feels loose.
  3. Lower the volume.
  4. Check whether the eartip is damaged or clogged and replace it if needed.
  5. Move your hand, phone, hat, or other object farther away from the hearing aid.
  6. If you may have excess earwax, consider seeing a hearing professional or doctor.
