See a doctor, preferably an ear specialist, if you have any of the following:
- Sudden hearing loss or rapidly worsening hearing
- Pain, drainage, blood, or pus from the ear
- Severe dizziness or spinning sensations
- Hearing loss in only one ear
- A lot of earwax or concern that something is stuck in your ear
- A birth defect or unusual ear shape
These are not typical OTC hearing aid situations.
