How to store and care for your Torch

Proper storage and regular maintenance help your Torch perform reliably and last longer.

Cleaning the ear tips

  1. Remove any earwax buildup from the ear tip using the included cleaning stick.
  2. Wipe the ear tip clean with a tissue or soft cloth.
  3. Replace ear tips every 3 to 6 months, or sooner if they become stiff, brittle, or discolored.

Cleaning the hearing aids

  1. Use a soft cloth or tissue to wipe away any moisture, perspiration, or debris from the surface of the hearing aid.
  2. Use the included cleaning brush to gently clear the microphone and sound outlet openings.
  3. Inspect and clean the charging contacts on the hearing aids and inside the case regularly using a dry cloth.

What to avoid

  • Do not rinse the hearing aids or case under water.
  • Do not use alcohol, water, solvents, or cleaning fluids directly on the hearing aids — these can damage the protective coating.
  • Do not use sharp tools to remove earwax — this can push debris deeper or damage the device.
  • Do not use a microwave, oven, or electronic dryer to dry the hearing aids or case.
  • Do not drop or knock the hearing aids against hard surfaces.

Storing your Torch

  • Always store the hearing aids in the charging case when not in use.
  • Keep the case in a cool, dry location — avoid extreme heat, cold, humidity, or vibration.
  • If you will not be using the hearing aids for an extended period (up to 6 months), make sure they are fully charged before storing.
