Solid sounds weak, muffled, or has no sound

If your Solid sounds weak, muffled, or produces no sound at all, a few simple checks usually resolve the issue.

No sound

  • Hearing aids not activated: Make sure the hearing aids have been charged before first use.
  • Hearing aids not turned on: Slide the ON/OFF switch upward to the ON position.
  • Battery is depleted: Place the hearing aids in the charging base and charge until the light turns green.
  • Microphone is blocked: Check for earwax or debris on the microphone opening. Clean gently with a soft cloth.

Weak or fuzzy sound

  • Low battery: Charge the hearing aids fully before use.
  • Blocked ear tip or microphone: Remove the ear tip and clean it with the enclosed cleaning stick. Wipe the microphone area with a soft cloth.
  • Volume is too low: Pull the control button upward to increase the volume. There are 6 volume levels.
  • Wrong hearing program: Try switching to a different program by pressing and holding the control button for 3 seconds. Program 1 (Normal) works well for most everyday situations.
  • Ear tip does not fit well: A loose or wrong-sized ear tip reduces sound quality. Try a different size (L, M, or S).
