If your Torch feels loose, whistles, or sounds blocked, a fresh or different-sized ear tip can help.
Replacing the ear tip
- Hold the hearing aid steady with one hand.
- Gently pull the old ear tip straight off — do not twist, as this can damage the sound outlet.
- Wipe the sound outlet clean before attaching the new tip.
- Align the opening of the new ear tip with the sound outlet.
- Push the hearing aid firmly into the new ear tip until you feel a click and it is fully seated.
- Gently tug the tip to confirm it is secure before wearing the hearing aid.
Choosing the right size
Ear tips come in four sizes: XL, L, M, and S. Try a different size if the current tip feels uncomfortable, slips out, or causes feedback (whistling). Many users need a different size in each ear.
When to replace ear tips
Replace ear tips every 3 to 6 months, or sooner if they become stiff, brittle, or discolored.
