How to Clean Your Core One

Proper cleaning and maintenance of your hearing aids are essential to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Follow these simple steps to clean your hearing aids:

  1. Use a Soft, Dry Cloth: Gently wipe down the outer surface of the hearing aid with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using tissues or paper towels, as they can leave behind fibers that could clog the device.

  2. Clean the Microphone and Speaker Ports: Use a small, soft brush (provided in your hearing aid cleaning kit) to gently clean the microphone and speaker ports. Be careful not to push dirt further into the device.

  3. Remove Earwax: Earwax buildup is a common issue. While we do not provide a dedicated earwax cleaner kit, we do include a wax removal tool in your cleaning kit to help carefully remove any wax from the ear molds or speaker. Never use sharp objects, as they can damage the hearing aids.

  4. Remove and Clean the Ear Mold/Domes: The ear mold or dome can be removed from the hearing aid for cleaning. Gently pull the dome or ear mold off the hearing aid and rinse it under warm water (without soap) to clean it. Let the ear mold or dome dry completely before reattaching it to the hearing aid.

  5. Drying: If your hearing aids have been exposed to moisture, use a hearing aid drying kit or a dehumidifier overnight to remove any moisture inside the devices.

  6. Avoid Water and Harsh Chemicals: Never immerse your hearing aids in water or use harsh cleaning solutions, as these can damage the delicate components.

A cleaning kit is provided with your hearing aids to help you maintain them and keep them in good working condition. By cleaning your hearing aids regularly, you’ll ensure clear sound quality and extend the life of the device.
