Reason Nexus (OTE) hearing aid Not Turning On
1. Is the Hearing Aid Turned On?
- Ensure the battery door is fully closed.
- The hearing aid will cut on automatically after a few seconds
2. Is the Battery Inserted Correctly?
- Open the battery compartment and check if the battery is:
- Inserted with the correct polarity (+ and - aligned).
- Fitting snugly in the compartment.
3. Is the Battery Charged or New?
- If the hearing aid is battery-operated, replace the old battery with a fresh one.
- Use a battery tester to ensure the new battery has power.
4. Is There Blockage?
- Check for earwax or debris in the following areas:
- Ear Tip or Dome: Remove and clean if necessary.
- Sound Tube or Vent: Use a cleaning tool or brush provided with your hearing aids to clear any obstructions.
- Microphone Ports: Inspect and clean gently.
5. Are You in the Right Program?
- Press the program button (if available) to switch back to the normal mode.
- Listen for a beep to confirm the change.
6. Has the Hearing Aid Been Exposed to Moisture?
- If it was exposed to water or high humidity:
- Place the hearing aid in a hearing aid dehumidifier or a sealed container with silica gel overnight.
- Avoid using high heat to dry it.
7. Are the Tubing or Components Damaged?
- Inspect the tubing, ear tip, and casing for any visible damage or cracks.

8. Is the Volume Set Appropriately?
- Adjust the volume control.
9. Has the Hearing Aid Been Dropped or Mishandled?
- Physical damage can impact function. Check for cracks or loose parts.

If none of the above works, contact Ceretone support center. They can check for:
- Firmware issues.
- Internal damage.
