Bluetooth function
This section will answer questions about Beacons Bluetooth function
Reasons why the Bluetooth function will not work:
Check to see if your Beacon is connected to your phone
For iPhone Turn on Bluetooth:
- Turn on Bluetooth: Go to settings. Tap Bluetooth (toggle the switch to on if it's not already on)
- Put the device in pairing mode: Make sure your phone is turned on and in pairing mode.
- Find the Device: One your iPhone's Bluetooth is on, and the device is in pairing mode, it should appear in the list of available devices under Other Devices.
- Connect: Tap Ceretone Beacon when it appears on the list. You may need to confirm or enter a pairing code (often 0000 or 1234) if prompted
- Confirm Connection: Once connection is confirmed, the device will move to the My Devices list, and you should see "Connected" next to its name
Your device should now be connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth
For Android Turn on Bluetooth:
- Turn on Bluetooth: Swipe down from the top of the screen to access the quick settings panel.
- Tap the Bluetooth icon to turn it on. Alternatively, you can go to settings > connections > Bluetooth and toggle it on.
- Put the device in pairing mode: Make sure the Beacon has been set up and put in pairing mode
- Find the device: In your Android's Bluetooth settings, tap Scan if the device doesn't automatically appear. Your phone will start scanning for nearby devices.
- Pair the Device: When Beacon Ceretone appears under the list of available devices, tap its name. You may be prompted to confirm pairing or enter PIN (commonly 0000 or 1234)
- Confirm Connection: Once paired, the device should appear under Paired Devices with a "Connected" status.
Your Android device is now connected to the Bluetooth device!
Beacon could have disconnected
Your beacon could have disconnected itself from your phones Bluetooth which can happen if your phone service went out or you walked away too far from your phone.
- Check your Bluetooth and make sure it still says Beacon Ceretone Connected. If you don't see that reconnect your hearing aids to your phone. Sometimes you may need to insert the hearing aids back into the case to reset the connection.
- Ensure that your Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device and disable "Do Not Disturb" mode.
- Make sure your hearing aids did not pair with another device. If so, disconnect them and reconnect them to your phone
